The Shanty – coming the summer of 2026

We are excited to share our 2026 Campaign that will not only enhance our amphitheater but also make life easier for the incredible people who help make every event here possible — our amazing volunteers. This project will help minimize the burden on them, allowing them to focus on what they love most: welcoming guests, sharing nature, and making your experience unforgettable. At Hawthorn Hollow, we believe every addition to our sanctuary should serve both people and nature. That’s why we’re launching our next Inspired by Nature campaign — to build a thoughtfully designed concession stand right here at our outdoor amphitheater.

This new addition will provide convenient refreshments, improve guest comfort, and help us better support the thousands of people who enjoy concerts, Art fairs and gatherings here each year.

Drake Family Wildlife Observation Blind

Completed in 2025

Visitors are now able to watch in awe as birds take flight, mammals forage, and the beauty of nature unfolds before their eyes.

To ensure the protection of wildlife and their habitats, Hawthorn Hollow is committed to finding new ways for the public to enjoy and appreciate nature up close with as little impact as possible.

With the help of a public fundraising campaign, funding from the Natural Resources Foundation Quiet Trails Fund, and assistance from organizations, Hawthorn Hollow is thrilled to announce the construction of the Drake Family Wildlife Observation Blind and wetland education station is completed and ready for visitors!

This cherished addition to our wetlands is in Memory of Shawn David Drake.

The Thursday Morning Club Overlook

The Thursday Morning Overlook is complete and open to the public in Margaret’s Garden. Thank you to all who supported this project!

This overlook celebrates the legacy of The Thursday Morning Club, a dedicated group of volunteers who have been passionate about Hawthorn Hollow for decades.
