The Friends of Hawthorn Hollow is a separate 501c3 non-profit which operates exclusively to help preserve, maintain, and further improve Hawthorn Hollow Nature Sanctuary and Arboretum.
A Friends membership helps contribute to the growth of Hawthorn Hollow, and is a great way to get more involved! In the past, the Friends of Hawthorn Hollow have supported the creation of many of our educational programs, such as Maple Sugarin’ Time, the Charles and Kathryn Heide Schoolyard Observatory, and Growing Healthy.
Friends members also support many of the behind-the-scenes operations that make Hawthorn Hollow the special place that it is. The Friends of Hawthorn Hollow have supported ongoing wetland and ravine restoration projects, the removal of ash trees devastated by the Emerald Ash Borer, and kept our bird feeders full. Every year, this land presents new challenges and opportunities, and the Friends of Hawthorn Hollow is always there to lend a hand.
