Hawthorn Hollow Nature Sanctuary and Arboretum requires all photographers and videographers using the property for formal, posed, professional, or commercial sessions to obtain a permit, agree to the guidlines and schedule their session in advance. This requirement helps us protect sensitive plants, wildlife, waterways, and habitats while coordinating photography around private rentals, ticketed programs, sanctuary events, trail closures, weather conditions, and maintenance. Approved photographers must wear their permit lanyard, remain on designated trails and turf areas, follow all sanctuary rules, and leave the property by sunset. Photography sessions may not take place without prior approval, and individuals found conducting sessions without a permit may be asked to leave and may lose future access to the property. Entry or continued presence on sanctuary grounds after operating hours without authorization may also be treated as trespassing and referred to the appropriate authorities. Security and trail cameras are in use throughout the property. To reserve a time please complete the Permit Form before your visit.
