Celebrate Wisconsin’s Invasive Species Action Month with Hawthorn Hollow’s Invasive Species Identification Class!
Join us for a two-hour workshop led by Hawthorn Hollow’s Ecologist, Emily Porter, and learn how to identify many of the invasive plant species commonly found in our region. You’ll gain insights into their history, preferred habitats, key identifying features, and the ecological challenges they present.
The workshop includes a guided hike, where you’ll practice identifying invasive plants in the field and learn how to distinguish them from similar-looking native species. Emily will also share how Hawthorn Hollow manages these species and offer practical tips and techniques you can use to help control invasive plants on your own property.
This is a FREE class, but registration is required. Donations are greatly appreciated!
